The team at Achill Experience asked us to design, build and install seven new displays giving visitors a really close look at what’s swimming in the seas around the aquarium. There is so much to learn about the extensive marine life around Achill’s coastline and one of the new displays gives kids a fantastic underwater experience. They can crawl through the rock themed display and view the local seas through two head up ‘bubble’ domes.

A splash tank, mimicking a wave, is another popular display we made. The cascading water display for rockpool species and juvenile Bass has a sloping glazed window and dump bucket at the top. Our Jellyfish Kreisel display is a really cost-effective impressive tank. It has a plinth, standalone life support system, small circulation pump, chiller and bio media. We also completed natural rock theming to public areas to blend with the in-tank theming, mural paint effects and installed a mixture of LED spotlights and GOBO effect lighting to create a fully  immersive experience. The client and guests are delighted with the finished displays.
