We were asked by the team at SEA LIFE Chessington to transform the entrance and first section of the centre into a tropical adventure. The tropical theme starts at the front of the building, with themed timber groynes and beach huts welcoming guests at the entrance and sand dunes and groynes lining the queue area.

The journey into the tropical zone continues, with barnacle-covered timber shipwreck theming to the walls and buccaneer artefacts, ropes, lanterns and ripped sails hanging all around. The tanks were transformed with vibrant exotic artificial corals handcrafted into themed rockwork. Murals, lighting and projectors further enhance the atmosphere with water effects and rotating sharks above visitors’ heads!

Behind the scenes, we installed new heaters, sand filter, protein skimmer and pipe systems. We also redeveloped the existing native marine ray tank including a new viewing area, ships mast, sails and themed treasure chests, wrecked on the sea bed.
